CLN is deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the recent fires near Los Angeles. Our hearts go out to the families who have lost loved ones, their homes, and their sense of security. We also extend our profound gratitude to the first responders and firefighters who have worked tirelessly to combat these fires.
As an organization, we have been hosting events annually in Los Angeles for over a decade. This city holds a special place in our hearts, and we did not want to consider abandoning it at a time when its economy and communities need revitalization. Instead, we are choosing to move forward with optimism and excitement, bringing the Learning and Development community together this April to support and contribute to the city's recovery.
Located 45 minutes away from the Eaton Fires and 90 minutes away from the Pacific Palisades fires, The Omni Hotel, where the CLN Learning Conference will be held, serves as a reminder of the resilience of this city. The hotel and its staff continues providing a safe and unparalleled experience to guests and group even today.
By attending CLN’s Learning Conference in April, you will already be playing an active part in the much-needed revitalization effort of the local community and economy. In addition, in the lead-up to the conference, we will be encouraging our attendees, sponsors, and partners to support relief efforts. Based on the city's needs at that time, we will provide guidance on how to contribute effectively, whether through donations of food, clothing, books, or other essentials. Here are some trusted organizations actively supporting relief efforts in Los Angeles. If you would like to contribute, consider making a donation to one of these impactful initiatives:
Project Hope – Supporting disaster-affected families with essential medical care and relief supplies.
American Red Cross Los Angeles – Providing shelter, food, and emotional support to those impacted.
California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund – Assisting displaced residents and addressing long-term recovery needs.
We believe our greatest contribution to the recovery will come from bringing the energy, commerce, and connectivity of our community to Los Angeles. We are committed to fostering optimism and resilience in the city, ensuring that our event helps propel its recovery efforts.
