Martha Añez (Master of Architecture, Harvard University) started her teaching career in the mid-1990s. 

Her primary teaching areas are foundation studio, master’s project and building technology for interiors. These courses engage active learning and instill the value of understanding people’s behavior to inform design solutions. Throughout her tenure teaching, she has maintained an architectural practice focusing primarily on interiors. Her work explores issues of placemaking in response to context and human behavior. As part of her professional work, she is also actively involved in community-based projects. Her work has been recognized in national architectural competitions. Martha is a registered architect, holds National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification and is a member of the Interior Design Educator’s Council (IDEC).
