Dr. Michelle Samura is Associate Professor of Education and Associate Dean in the Attallah College of Educational Studies at Chapman University.

She also is the founding Co-Director of the Collaborate Initiative and principal investigator of the Architecture of Belonging project. Dr. Samura conducts research, publishes, and speaks on the relationship between space and belonging. Her work has a wide range of theoretical and pragmatic implications, such as offering an unconventional, user-informed approach to examine and address campus and workplace climate issues; re-conceptualizing campus and classroom designs; and enhancing belonging in education settings, workplace settings, and community settings.
