Russ Hill
Sr. Partner
Lone Rock Leadership

Russ Hill coaches and consults executives at some of the world’s biggest companies. His clients include Amazon, Walmart, General Motors, Lockheed Martin, Cigna, and Hormel. Russ’s passion for people management started after he was ranked the worst leader in the company he worked at straight out of college. An employee engagement survey revealed no team had a more toxic culture than his did. That moment is one Russ talks about frequently. It changed him. Russ began consuming every leadership book, course, and training he could get his hands on. He traveled to Gallup to be trained. He went to the Wharton School of Business for executive development. He hired coaches and consultants. As he applied what he was learning that national media company he worked for kept promoting him until he was ultimately overseeing major news and sports broadcasting operations. Russ was recruited by Partners In Leadership to join their firm and travel the world coaching executives of Fortune 100 companies. Pre-Covid he regularly appeared on stages in Singapore, London, Sydney, Dallas, and New York among other places. He launched a podcast that has thousands of listeners around the globe. He’s coached executives at Amazon, Walmart, Cigna, Lockheed Martin, Hormel, Darden Restaurant Group, HCA, Johnson and Johnson, Fox, and Cox Communications. Russ’s passion is to help build leaders led him to co-found Lone Rock Consulting, LLC in an effort to scale his ability to reach more leaders and share models, tools, and frameworks he has helped create. Russ lives in Arizona where he loves spending time on lakes and mountains (yes, there are lakes and even snow in the desert) with his family. He and his wife are the proud parents of four kids. Russ is a native Texan and Army brat. He hosts The Culture Hacks Podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify and is the author of three books: The Great Resignation, Remoteability, and Decide to Lead available on Amazon and at all major book retailers.
